Astoria

Astoria has in recent years come into its own as a tourist destination.  With historic sites, the Maritime Museum, wonderful restaurants, movie history, the Astoria Riverwalk, and so much more, it is no wonder people love to visit this beautiful little town.  Be sure to watch for weekly art walks, the Sunday Market, and shows at the Liberty Theater. Located at the mouth of the Columbia River you can also enjoy watching large ships anchor up while on their way up to Portland.  This little port town is supported by logging, fishing, and tourism.  You will often see fishing boats bringing in the catch of the day, which you can purchase at one of our fish markets!  During salmon season and open sturgeon fisheries, you can charter a trip or take your own boat out! Don’t forget to take a couple of crab pots with you so you can enjoy some Dungeness Crab as well!
